Time Set for Performances at TxMEA

Recently, performance times for both the Midwestern State University percussion and saxophone ensembles' recital and SAGA Quartet's recital at the 2018 Texas Music Education Association Conference were announced!

The MSU Saxophone and Percussion Ensembles will be in the West Registration performance area of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Thursday, February 15th at 11:00am.

The SAGA Quartet performance will occur on Friday, February 16th at 12:30pm in the Main Lobby of the convention center.

MSU Saxophone Ensemble and SAGA Quartet to Perform at TMEA!

The Midwestern State University Saxophone Ensemble has been accepted to perform a showcase concert at the 2018 Texas Music Education Association Conference in February in San Antonio, in collaboration with the MSU Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Gordon Hicken.  In addition, the SAGA Quartet will be performing a recital, as well.

New Schubert Transcriptions Available From Lovebird Music!

Allen Selected as Concerto Soloist for 2017 NASA Region 4 Conference

I am very happy to announce that I have been chosen as a concerto soloist on the closing concert of the NASA Region 4 Conference in March, 2017.  I will be performing Henry Cowell's Air and Scherzo with the Oklahoma State University Symphony Orchestra.

Also, for those of you attending the 39th United States Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium, I will be presenting a recital of works by Marcos Balter and Alex Mincek, as well as a lecture on the history of saxophones in F and C.  I hope to see you there!
